If you are a regular visitor to our offices, you will have noticed a few changes over the past few months. Over the years, we’ve designed and installed creative signage at many of our client’s premises. As we’ve recently unveiled a new brand style for TR2 Creative, we felt the time was right to give our own offices a bit of a makeover.
For our new company signage, we wanted to showcase some of the options available to you. If you’re looking for a sign company in Stoke on Trent, and would like to see examples of what we can do, give us a call on 01782 744 844 to arrange an appointment.
Exterior Sign
First on the list was updating our exterior sign. We opted for an aluminium composite sign tray for a couple of reasons. First of all, they look great! With no visible fixings and projecting 40mm from the wall, a sign tray gives a lovely 3D effect that we think looks much better than a flat Dibond sign panel. Secondly, as we wanted to include a small backlit/illuminated section of our sign, the 40mm return/projection helps us to store/conceal unsightly wiring.
Sticking with the 3D signage theme, we opted for built-up 3D letters. These were made from white acrylic and fitted to the sign tray, using stand-offs to give it that extra bit of depth.
The icon element of our logo was produced from 3mm Alupanel (aluminium composite). It was printed and profile / fret cut to shape prior to being fitted to the sign tray. Once again with stand-offs to add depth.
We’ve had lots of different types of signage over the years, but we’d never had an illuminated sign, until now. As you will see from the image above, we have a section with our core services, ‘Design, Print, Web, Signage’. This part was achieved by fret cutting the sign tray face and backing with acrylic. Energy efficient, low voltage LED modules are then used to illuminate the sign when turned on.
Interior Signage
Custom interior signage is a great way to show off your brand and bring your office or workspace to life. Every wall becomes a blank canvas so it’s the perfect opportunity to get creative.
We’d made minor tweaks to the interior since relocating here, but never anything on this scale. Before starting on the signage we decided to decorate and luckily found a paint that matched our brand colours perfectly. This colour was used at various locations throughout our offices and compliments the signage nicely.
Reception Signage
When asked to design and install interior signage for our clients, one of the most common locations we’re asked to look at is the reception area. This is usually the first part of your premises that your customer will see so it’s a good chance to form a great first impression.
In our reception we have two sliding glass panels which we decided to cover with a mixture of frosted and printed vinyl. Frosted vinyl is a very versatile material as it gives you privacy whilst still allowing light to get through.
We also decided to add wayfinding signage that leads through to our meeting room. For this, we opted for a full colour vinyl print applied to an 8mm clear acrylic panel. This was then fitted to the door using chrome stand-offs which raises the panel from the door and adds a nice effect.
Illuminated Interior Signs / Halo Lit Signs
Illuminated signs / halo lit signs are fast becoming one of the most popular sign products that we are asked to create. So it only felt right that we installed our very own.
Halo lit signs can be produced in a number of different ways and with a variety of materials. In essence though, energy efficient, low voltage LED modules are fitted behind the text/graphic which creates a soft glow. This adds clarity/contrast to the text/graphic it is fitted to and is a great, high impact option for your office/workspace walls.
We chose different colour LED lighting for each of them. This was due to each wall being a different colour and we wanted the display to compliment the walls. It also illustrates some of the options available to you when choosing a theme for your halo lit / illuminated sign.
Office Interior Signage
For our main office we decided to keep things simple.
With our freshly painted feature wall it felt only right to display our logo. The profile / fret cut text was produced from white acrylic and mounted to the wall using stand-offs. As with the logo from our exterior signage, the logo icon was produced from 3mm Alupanel. It was printed and profile / fret cut to shape prior to being fitted to the wall, once again with stand-offs to add depth.
On the opposing wall we had a big white space to fill so thought that this would be a good spot to display our core services, ‘design, print, web and signage’. We produced this from printed and profile cut vinyl and applied it directly to the wall. Simple yet extremely effective!
