Booklet Printing UK Customers Can Use for Sales, Events and Training

If you’re looking at booklet printing options, you already know you need more than loose sheets or a simple flyer. A professionally-designed booklet gives you enough space to explain, promote, inform or guide your readers in a clear direction. In particular, printed booklets work well for:

  • Product catalogues and price lists
  • Event programmes and order of service booklets
  • Company brochures and sales documents
  • Training manuals, reports and handbooks
  • Menus, lookbooks, portfolios and short magazines

If your booklet is part of a wider campaign, our range of printing services can also produce matching leaflets, posters and any other printed materials you may need.

What Type of Booklet Are You Printing?

Choosing the right booklet design depends largely on your business; catalogues should be image-focused and easy to browse, whereas a training manual should be durable and focus on providing clear text.

If you’ve already decided on your design, our team can help check the image quality and resolution before printing. Alternatively, if you only have text, images or a rough idea, our design team can help plan the page order, layout, cover design and print specification.

For shorter, more immediate marketing materials, consider browsing our brochure printing service and leaflet printing service to discover a complete solution for all types of business marketing.

Which Custom Booklet Binding Option Should You Choose?

Customers have a wide range of booklet binding options, allowing them to choose h how their booklet opens, how long it lasts and how it feels when they are reading it.

Stapled and Saddle Stitched Booklets

Stapled booklets, also called saddle-stitched booklets, are a clean and affordable option for lower page counts. Pages are folded and stapled through the spine, usually in two places, which works well for newsletters, event programmes, short catalogues and marketing booklets.

Perfect Bound Booklet Printing

Perfect bound (or PUR bound) booklet printing is a great choice for larger documents with more pages. The pages are glued into the cover along the spine, giving the booklet a neat, book-like finish. This suits catalogues, magazines, prospectuses, reports and premium sales material.

Wire Bound Booklets

Wire binding is useful when the booklet needs to lie flat while people use it and looks fantastic when not in use. It is a strong option for workbooks, manuals, training packs, reference documents and reports.

A5 Booklet Printing for Compact, Easy-to-Share Print

A5 booklet printing is one of the most popular styles available. A5 printing provides enough room for useful information while creating booklets that are easy to carry, post, display or hand out.

A5 booklets are a good choice for event literature, welcome packs, takeaway menus, charity campaigns, product guides, small catalogues and internal documents. They feel more substantial than a flyer but are usually easier to handle than a full A4 document.

However, A4 is still a fantastic option if you need more space for large images, tables, technical information or formal report layouts.

Promotional Materials That Suit Your Brand

At TR2 Creative, we have a range of paper types and finishes available to suit any need. Our experts can talk you through silk, gloss, matt, uncoated and recycled paper options, along with paper weights, cover stock and finishes such as matt or gloss lamination.

How Does Our Booklet Printing Service Work?

Getting booklets printed should feel straightforward. Send us your finished artwork, rough content or project brief, and we’ll help you work out the size, page count, paper and binding of your booklet. A typical project includes:

  • A quick brief so we understand what the booklet is for
  • Advice on size, binding, paper and finish
  • Artwork setup or artwork checking before print
  • Confirmation of the quote and print specification
  • Printing, finishing and collection or delivery

If you have a fixed event date, meeting or launch, tell us early. We’ll advise what is realistic before production begins.

How Should Artwork Be Supplied for Booklet Printing?

For most booklet printing projects, artwork should be supplied as a high-resolution PDF with pages in the correct order.

As a guide, allow 3mm bleed, keep important text away from the trim edge, use CMYK colour where possible and make sure images are high enough quality for print.

Not sure if your file is ready? Send it over before production and our team of design experts will review your file.

How Much Does Booklet Printing Cost?

Booklet printing cost depends on the finished size, page count, quantity, paper, binding, finish, artwork support and turnaround.

A short run of stapled A5 booklets will be priced differently from a larger perfect-bound catalogue with a laminated cover. To quote accurately, we’ll usually ask for the booklet size, number of pages, quantity, binding style and whether your artwork is ready.

If you do not know those details yet, tell us what the booklet is for and we’ll guide you from there.

Booklet Printing FAQs

Can TR2 Creative help with booklet design?

We can work from finished artwork or help you design the booklet from scratch. This is useful if you have the content but need support with layout, page order, image placement or cover design.

For stapled booklets, page counts usually work best in multiples of four because each folded sheet creates four printed pages. If your content does not fit neatly, we can advise on layout changes or blank inner pages.

A5 booklet printing is often more cost-effective because it uses less paper and is easier to distribute. The final price still depends on how many pages are needed, quantity, paper, binding and paper stock.

We can help with short-run booklet printing as well as larger quantities. Short runs are useful for events, presentations, test campaigns and internal documents.

Collection and delivery options can be confirmed once we know your booklet size, quantity and deadline. If you need booklets for an event, launch or meeting, tell us the date at the start so we can recommend a realistic print schedule.

Stapled binding suits smaller booklets, perfect binding suits larger polished documents, and wire binding suits manuals or documents that need to lie flat. If you are unsure, we’ll recommend the best option for your page count and use.
