The Client
SH:24 is an online sexual health service, working in partnership with the NHS to deliver free, discreet testing kits to people across the UK. When someone orders a test online, the kit that lands on their doormat has to be complete, correct, and safe to use every single time.
That’s where we come in. Since December 2020, TR2 Creative has been assembling SH:24’s test kit components at scale, handling anywhere from 5,000 to 30,000 packs per week. To date, we’ve completed over 1 million packs.
What We Do
SH:24’s kits cover a range of test types, including blood, urine, and vaginal, rectal, and throat swabs, and each has its own precise assembly specification. For example:
Blood test packs – 3 lancets, 2 wipes and 2 plasters, counted and inserted into an envelope or plastic bag
Urine test packs – pipettes removed from their plastic wrappers and inserted into envelopes
Swab packs (vaginal, rectal and throat) – swabs removed from their plastic wrappers and inserted into envelopes
The mix changes from week to week, and at any one time, our team can be assembling up to 10 different pack types simultaneously.
Traceability Comes First
With medical items, accuracy isn’t optional and traceability is everything.
Every component we receive is counted and logged on arrival, along with its lot number and expiry date, and those records are kept as a permanent reference. Every box we pack is labelled with the lot number and expiry date of each item type inside. If there’s ever an issue with stock, SH:24 hears about it from us immediately.
Our fulfilment team is trained to exceptional standards, with constant quality control checks throughout the process to ensure the correct quantities are in every wallet, every box, and every pallet that leaves our warehouse.
From Our Warehouse to Theirs
Once assembled, the packs are boxed, palletised, shrink-wrapped and labelled with a full breakdown of what’s on each pallet — so the receiving warehouse knows exactly what’s arrived before a single box is opened.
We work closely with our courier partner, who collects on specified days and delivers to any address in the UK. They also liaise directly with SH:24 to ensure the right items are returned to the warehouse for further packing, a genuinely joined-up logistics operation among three parties.
A typical week for SH:24 looks like this:

That rhythm has run reliably for over five years, flexing up to 30,000 packs in the busiest weeks.
